DIY // Free Crochet Pattern: Crochet Fox Ear Headband!





Hello there! I've been wanting to create a headband like this forever and I am quite elated on how it came out! Inspired by this fox crochet sweater I created a few years back, I wanted something in the spirit of Halloween to share with you all!
Crochet Hook>> H/8 5.00MM //  Craft Scissors  // Yarn Sewing Needle // Headband // Glue Gun [Optional]

  Yarn used>>Half a Skein [Red Heart Super Saver Yarn] Medium 4 [orange/cream/black]

  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[row]= Round

You will be create two pieces of ears!

Using the cream yarn.
CH 10
R1:SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [9 STS]
R2: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [8 STS]
R3: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [7 STS]
R4: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [6 STS]
R5: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [5 STS]
R6: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [4 STS]
R7: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [3 STS]
R8: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into all of the STS, turn work when complete. [2 STS]

R9: Decrease by 1 ST for the round, SC the entire row into the ST, SS to complete work. [1 ST]

MIDDLE PHOTO FROM LEFT #2
Using the orange yarn.
Starting from the right side of the finished crocheted piece. Leaving 1 ST open from the top, single crochet around the piece, the right side, to the bottom, to the left side, SS before reaching the last ST to the top.

Using the black yarn.
Starting from the right side of the finished crocheted piece. 1 ST from the top, single crochet around the top piece two times, the single crochet into the last open ST before the orange yarn.  SS to complete work. Use yarn sewing needle/tapestry needle to sew in edges.

Crochet around the headband. Using the orange yarn. 
REFERENCE TUTORIAL #1

Using your yarn sewing needle/tapestry needle and a strand of yarn, sew the crocheted ears to the top of the headband, approximately 5 STS apart from each other.
