Tutorial Tuesday: Scalloped Finger Free Hand Warmers. Free Crochet Pattern.

 Hello there!  
Hope you are having a good start to the week! This week's free crochet pattern, is entirely devoted to the Winter times and frankly, my hands are always cold! I truly wanted a pair of hand warmers that allowed me to be able to create freely without losing my grip. Plus, being able to utilize scrap yarn from past projects is a great method to loosen up that yarn space!

THE INGREDIENTS
Half a Skein-Medium 4
Craft Scissors
Crochet Hook H/8 5.00MM
Tapestry Sewing Needle
Measuring Tape

ABBREVIATIONS
hdc=half double crochet crochet
dc=double crochet
[number]tch[s]=turning chain[s]
sts=stitches
**=Repeat method until end of round


THE PATTERN
CH FOR 24. [10 inches width] final length: 5.5 inches
[Note: I measured my wrist for exact width]
Working in rounds, connected by SS and TCH appropriately.

Left Side
R1: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R2: DC into the first ST, **Skip the next ST, then DC into the following ST, Next, you return to the skipped ST and DC into it- Now, you will proceed to DC into the next open ST..[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 2TCHS.]
R3: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R4: DC into the first ST, **Skip the next ST, then DC into the following ST, Next, you return to the skipped ST and DC into it- Now, you will proceed to DC into the next open ST..[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 2TCHS.]
R5: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R6: HDC into the first 5 STS, CH 3, Skip 3 STS and HDC into the remaining STS for the the entire round, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R7: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS,  including the chains, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R8: HDC into the first 5 STS, CH 2, Skip 2 STS and HDC into the following 2 STS...[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 1TCHS.]
R9: SC into first ST, then SC two times into the following ST, into the next ST, SS to create scalloped look-Next, SC into the next ST two times, then into the following ST, SS to to create scalloped look...[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round,  at end of the round, SS to complete final work.]

Right Side
R1: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R2: DC into the first ST, **Skip the next ST, then DC into the following ST, Next, you return to the skipped ST and DC into it- Now, you will proceed to DC into the next open ST..[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 2TCHS.]
R3: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R4: DC into the first ST, **Skip the next ST, then DC into the following ST, Next, you return to the skipped ST and DC into it- Now, you will proceed to DC into the next open ST..[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 2TCHS.]
R5: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R6: HDC into all of the 18 STS until you hit the 19th ST- CH 3, Skip 3 STS and HDC into the remaining 3 STS for the the entire round, at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R7: HDC the entire row, into all of the STS, including the chains- at end of the round, SS to connect and 3TCHS.
R8: HDC into the first 5 STS, CH 2, Skip 2 STS and HDC into the following 2 STS...[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round, SS to continue and 1TCHS.]
R9: SC into first ST, then SC two times into the following ST, into the next ST, SS to create scalloped look-Next, SC into the next ST two times, then into the following ST, SS to to create scalloped look...[**From this point on you will repeat this method until you hit the end of the round,  at end of the round, SS to complete final work.]
