DIY This! Crochet Pillow Free Pattern!

Hello there! I've been wanting to refresh my space and add some handmade pieces to it. A crochet pillow has entirely been on the list and I'm super excited to have finally created my very own item!

Ingredients:  
Crochet Hook>> H/8-5.00MM
Craft Scissors  
Yarn Sewing Needle
Pillow (17 inches length)
Yarn used>>Less than half a skein for each (5) colors/ Scrap yarn of Red Heart Super Saver /Medium 4
Thread and Sewing Needle

Stitch guide:  
HDC= half double crochet    
SC= single crochet
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= stitch(es)
CH= chain
R[number]= Row
RND= Round

Front Side:
CH 41-
Color 1: R1: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.
**Color 1: R2: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
White: Color 2: R3: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
Color 3: R4: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
Color 4: R5: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
White: Color 2: R6: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
Color 5: R7: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following ST...(*Repeat method for the entire row, at end of row, turn work and switch colors.)
**From Row 8-Row 32: You will repeat the color method as well as technique from Row 2 to Row 7. Alternating your work with the corresponding theme.

 

At final Row, SS to complete work.
Finishing technique, HDC around the entire piece. 41 STS on the Bottom and Top. 50 STS for the Side (Left and Right)

Back Side:

CH 41

Color 1: R1: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 2: R2: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

White: Color 3: R3: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 4: R4: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 5: R5: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

White: Color 3: R6: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 1: R7-R8: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 2: R9-R10: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

White: Color 3: R11-R12: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 4: R13-R14: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

Color 5: R15-R16: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

White: Color 3: R17-18: HDC into all of the STS for the entire row, at end of row, turn work.

**From Row 19-Row 35: You will repeat the color method as well as technique from Row 1 all the way to (Row 17-Row 18) Alternating your work with the corresponding theme. Exp: Row 19, same color/method as Row 1.

At final Row, SS to complete work. 

Finishing technique, HDC around the entire piece. 41 STS on the Bottom and Top. 50 STS for the Side (Left and Right)

 

Next, with your yarn sewing needle and a strand of yarn, you will sew the sides and the bottom together only. Then you will slip your pillow into the cover, sewing it in securely.
