Tutorial Tuesday: How To Crochet Tiered Sunflower Headband.

Hello there and Happy Tuesday to you!
  Inspired by my favorite flower and also my adoration for all things boho, I wanted to create a project that embodies that spirit.

Less than half a skein [Scrap Yarn] of  Brown and Gold from Red Heart Super Saver/Medium 4/ 100% Acrylic // 364 yards
H/8 5.00MM Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle
Craft Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
ABBREVIATIONS/STITCHES UTILIZED
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
hdc blo slst=back loop half double crochet
dc=double crochet
tch[s]=turning chain[s]
sts=stitches
sl st= slip stitch

THE PATTERN

STEP ONE
Creating the Flowers

With the BROWN YARN
CH 3 and connect the last ST to the first ST with a SL ST
HDC 8 times into the loop created, SL ST at the end of the round.

CHANGE COLORS
GOLD YARN
Insert yarn and CH 5, into the next ST, SL ST and CH 5 to SL ST into the next ST...[Repeat this method for 8 "chain petals"

Create 11 flowers
Create a CHAIN of 99 [or more if desired] utilizing the BROWN YARN

Apply the 7 flowers
Starting from the middle of the band CHAIN 50 [at the half point]
Apply the adhesive to the chain and press the flower, hold for a few seconds, to stabilize the flowers

Then utilizing the BROWN YARN, insert your hook [randomly] CH 29 [or more if desired] and apply the remaining flowers unto the strand.
You can also create more strands in between the strands as well!

HAPPY CRAFTING!
