This pattern is a cute little market bag to utilize for special wip projects or keeping your groceries contained safely in your own handmade bag.

H/8 5.00MM Crochet Hook

THE PATTERN
CH 82
Connect the last ST to the first ST with a SL ST

RND1: SC into all of the STS for the entire round, at the end of the round, SL ST to connect and continue work.
RND2: DC into the first 2 STS, CH 2 and Skip the following 2 STS, DC into the following 2 STS **then CH 2, Skip 2 ST Sand DC the next 2 STS ...[**Repeat the method for the entire round, at the end of the round, SL ST to connect and continue work.]
RND3-RND16: DC into the first 2 STS, CH 2 and Skip the following 2 STS, DC into the following CHAIN 2 OPEN SPACE **then CH 2, Skip 2 ST Sand DC the next CHAIN 2 OPEN SPACE...[**Repeat the method for the entire round, at the end of the round, SL ST to connect and continue work.]
RND17-RND18: SC into all of the STS for the entire round, at the end of both rounds, SL ST to connect and continue work. At final round [18] SL ST to complete final work.
SEW TIME!
Utilizing a strand of yarn and sewing needle, flip the bag inside out to sew [TWICE] Round 18 STS together to secure and close the bottom of the bag.
CREATING THE HANDLES
14 INCHES LENGTH
Lay the bag flat and at the top opening insert your hook at
14 STS opened between the 2 straps
12 STS from the sides
R1-R28 [or to desired strap length]: Alternate for every other row SC +HDC respectively [SC into all of the STS for the entire round, at the end of the round, SL ST to connect and continue work. At final Row [28] Connect to the adjacent side either by utilizing the tapestry sewing needle and a strand of yarn.
NOTE: You will repeat this STEP TWICE for the other side of the bag.
