The Tutorial: The Crochet Bear Hat.

Hello, here is a tutorial I created, after coming across these little bear hats found in numerous stores as well as websites. Wanting to create my own, I took to my yarn and came up with this pattern, so that you may crochet your own! Of course, for the pom poms (I made mine quite small) though you can utilize different methods other than the one I used, this is just a simple and easy tutorial on how I made this hat!
The Ingredients: (I used)
>>3 various colors of yarn (of your choice, the colors I used: (Cream/Dark Grey From Red Heart) You can use any kind of yarn for this project.
>>[The hook]  J/10-6.00MM
>>Scissors
>>Crochet technique with abbreviations (Chain[CH]/Half Double Crochet [HDC]/Single Crochet [SC] Slip Stitch [SS]
>>Yarn sewing needle
Step one: Chain 3. Connect to the first chain with a SS. Chain one.
Step two: HDC into the circle, 8 times.
Step three: Connect using a SS. Chain one and HDC 2 times in each ST around the circle, creating 16. You will connect by slip stitching and chain one.
Step four: 1 HDC in the first ST, next 2 HDC in the following ST, once complete you will SS and chain one.
Step five: 2 HDC in the next two STS, next 2 HDC in the following ST, once complete you will slip stitch and chain one.
Step six: 3 HDC in the next two STS, next 2 HDC in the following ST, once complete you will slip stitch and chain one.
Step seven: 4 HDC in the next two STS, next 2 HDC in the following ST, once complete you will slip stitch and chain one.
Step eight: 5 HDC in the next two STS, next 2 HDC in the following ST, once complete you will slip stitch and chain one.
Step nine: You will HDC in each ST for 7 rows.
Step ten: Next, you will SC for two rows.
Cut and then sew the ends in.
Now to the Pom Poms. You are going to create two of them, of your own size, you may use a different method, this is just the one I used. >> Here are numerous methods on how to create pom poms.
After the pom poms are created, you will sew the pom into the top side of the hat. A little bit of center, to create the "ear" appearance, sew and knot!
Cut and trim the pom pom as you see fit. Now wear it! :)
