Hello there! This Free Crochet Pattern was entirely inspired by one of my favorite brooches. I collect about a handful of them and thought it would be an interesting concept to base a design utilizing one of them! This crochet headband is perfect for not only keeping your ears warm, but all in the zone for creating a fashion statement!
Ingredients:
Crochet Hook>> I/9-5.50MM
Scissors
Yarn used>>1 Skein of Yarn Bee Effervesce Willowy
Yarn sewing needle
Brooch of your choice
Stitch guide
SC= single crochet
HDC= half double crochet
DC= double crochet
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= Stitch(es)
CH= chain
CH 11,
*Row 1: Turn and HDC the entire Row,
Turn work for Row 2: DC the entire Row,
Turn work for Row 3: You will once again HDC the entire Row,
*You will be alternating between HDC and DC until you reach Row 31.
Once completing the Rows.
Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.
You will begin a Finishing technique of inserting your hook into borders of the finished crochet piece.
Begin SC around the entire piece for your finished look.
Once complete.
Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.
With your yarn sewing needle and a half an inch of cut yarn.
Thread your yarn to connect the end of the crocheted piece, by sewing them together. Make sure it is very secure and a bit scrunch together. (This is where your brooch will go!)
Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.
Once complete.
With your chosen brooch, clip it or pin it where the crochet piece was sewn together.
Viola! You are now ready to wear this vintage inspired crochet headband handmade by you!
