HandMade: The Heights Crochet Sweater Top.

Hello there! Happy Thursday to you! I've had the yarn I used for this top for awhile, had picked it primarily due to the color of it. It kind of frightened me. I'm not particular drawn to this color and I wanted to challenge myself to create a pattern that would turn that apprehension around. I felt with the color, I wanted to design a pattern that can be utilize throughout the majority of the year. A short sleeve top that also had a bit of duality to it so that it can roomy and airy for more warmer days, but also a comfy choice to layer.

What I love about this sweater, is that it's incredibly comfy and the color truly brightens up any outfit. You can dress this top up or throw a pair of jeans and you're good to go! Though to be honest, the best thing about this top, is that it is one of a kind, it's handmade and there's entirely nothing that feels better than that!

HandMade: The Big Heart Cropped Crochet Heart Sweater!

Hello there! Happy Thursday to you, or Happy Scandal night for my Shonda fans out there! With Valentine's Day right around the corner I thought I'd share one of the projects I had been working on in the spirit of heart day. 

This crochet cropped sweater with a graphic of a lovely big heart is a fun project you can either create for you or for a loved one. Made for any crocheter, the pattern was created to accomodate all skill levels.

What I love about this sweater, is that it is perfect for layering with a long sleeved shirt or you can make the sleeves a big longer if you choose. This is actually one sweater I will wear year round, regardless of the holiday, it's just perfect for any occasion!

HandMade: The Come Together Crochet Stripes Sweater.

Hello there! I hope the week has treated you well thus far.I recently traded and donated a few bits of clothing and in the pile was an older striped sweater. I wanted to challenge myself in not purchasing a store bought sweater, but to crochet myself one of my own. 

Being a huge fan of layering, I opted for a short-sleeved crochet sweater so that I can layer it to my liking. It is a tiny bit over sized to accommodate for that personal choice. Alternating between white and black yarn to create this sweater, I create a scoop neck for the front and back of the top, so that the button ups would fit suitably.

 Project Details:
The yarn I used was Caron Simply Soft in Black and in White. 2 Skeins each.
The hook I used was a K/101/2-6.50MM

HandMade: The Comfy Over-Sized Crochet Sweater.

I am quite in love with this oversize super comfy crochet sweater I whipped out from a design I've had in my head for months. Trust me, it feels like I am wearing a cozy blanket and that is pretty awesome. Granted I've got awhile before I can actually wear this baby out, though our mornings here have been pretty smooth, it's entirely one of my favorite pieces to wear.

The sweater is absolutely perfect for wearing with jeans, leggings, (my go-to) or even throwing a dress over it could be an option. It's just a sweater that I know I will be making more of not only for myself, but it will be up on my Etsy quite soon to purchase!

The Comfy Crochet Over-sized Sweater pattern is entirely experimental, made from my own pattern! Planning to place the pattern for purchase on my Pattern Shoppe!

HandMade: The Totoro Inspired Crochet Sweater

Hello and Happy Thursday! Here is my latest completed project, well one of them ha! From last weeks, 'What's On My Hook?' It is my Totoro inspired crochet sweater top in a lovely shade of pale pink! I chose this graphic because I love love love Hayao Miyazaki animated films, Studio Ghibli for life! I'd love to create a collection inspired by those films, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away.. Gah, I could go on!

Whenever I am creating these graphic pieces, I truly do have a handful of doubts whether or not it is going to produce the image I am attempting to portray. Which is a always gonna be something that is going to occur when you are creating it the first time. I love the discovery, I must admit, how else am I going to learn, if I don't try it out! Which is the main reason why I create these pieces.

HandMade: The Crochet Nutella Sweater.

Here is my newest project complete from last week's, "What's on my hook?" Another design patterned sweater like top. Goodness, I can't help myself, this one was purely for fun! Wanted to try my hand at some lettering and create something that I'm such a huge, huge fan of. This week, it happened to be Nutella. 

Yes, Nutella, I was attempting to scan through my list of to do projects and this sweater, sort of just popped in my head. I mean what a better staple to show your love?  Definitely, a have fun as you go experimental piece that entirely made me smile once I completed it! Now looking at this shirt, I'm really craving Nutella! :p
