Along The Way: A Vacation Haul.

Hello there! Here is my vacation clothes haul from a few weeks back, just now getting around to posting it, but I wanted to share a few finds I found from my trip home. I didn't want to spend too much, just picked up a few items. Plus, I didn't want to pay a huge fee for my baggage, so I kept it to the items I know I could not find here in Texas. (Or didn't want to pay taxes for! No tax fees in Delaware woot!) I also bought a handful of gifts for others, so I did hold back a bit on buying for myself!

Dresses! The first thing I usually gravitate towards are dresses when I am shopping. My collection is growing mighty strong nowadays so I am entirely looking for prints that uniquely catch my eye!

Left>> The cat print dress! From h&m. Gah! There was no thought process, it was too much for me to even take! (I'm being a bit dramatic!) What's truly grand about this dress is that I have seen this print everywhere, but the piece was always a bit out of my league. So it is quite pleasant to find a dress just as cute if not cuter in my price range.
Right>> The skull print dress was also a great find (also at h&m.) I love skull prints so this was a no brainer! No pun intended. ;)

Left>> The pineapple dress! (From h&m, seeing a theme here ;) ) It's more of a body con dress which I normally steer from, not sure why, but I definitely wanted to step outside of my box. Plus, I crocheted a pineapple bag, so perfect perfect!
Right>> Bought this dress from a local store called Rugged Wearhouse in my hometown, which sells clothing some name brand some not, at reasonable prices. This dress was only 5 bucks, but besides the price, the detail on the back of the dress is super cute. An open circle with a bow attached! (See below!)

(Above) Another dress from Rugged, this one was 2 dollars. Granted the zipper is broken, but I can fix it! The detailing on the dress was too darling to pass up. I'm gonna phase it into the Fall season for sure.

(Above) my inner nerd came racing out when I saw this tee of Superman. Found at Rugged for only 4 bucks. Just too awesome to pass up. Might pair it with a skirt or a pair of printed pants!

Bottoms! I am slowly moving into the world of loving pants and shorts once again (yeah right before Summer ends right?) Even though I am such a huge fan of dresses, the item really has to stand out for me to really jump out and want to get it get it. These pieces did just that!

Right>> Pink shorts from Forever 21. I strolled into the store, overwhelmed as usual by the amount of clothing everywhere. Scanned over a handful of pieces until I found these shorts in the sale section. Immediately the color popped out at me as well as the style. Can entirely see it with a printed blouse and casual flats.

Left>> The cat skirt from h&m. That is all. 

Right>> Floral pants from h&m. Super comfortable pants. I really want to get my wear out of them before Summer ends or I'll have to wait it out until Spring!

Left>> Batman! I actually wanted these leggings from h&m, but I passed on them. I'm glad I did because I found a similar pair at Rugged for less than half of the price! 

(Above) The sole pair ;) of shoes that I purchased har har. From Rugged, only 7 bucks! They were to replace my older ones though there were plenty more I wanted to look at, but alas there was no time! Well my wallet is quite thankful for that!

What I Wore: Portions For Foxes.

Hello there! I have been a busy bee attempting to truly follow my word on putting some goods on Etsy and getting my other side projects together. Creating is such an important aspect in my life and I wholeheartedly love sharing that adoration with whomever might glance its way! Hopefully, I can have a full update on that project as well as the other projects! Now to this dress, it's another LC by Lauren Conrad dress and I am entirely over the moon for it. I want to collect them all and wear them forever!

Inspiration: DIY Denim Vests.

Hello there! Lately I have been quite obsessed with denim vests and pairing them with a lovely dress for the summer times. For awhile now, I wanted to re-embellish my past diy with my denim vest (below) with more studs and random patches. After, a little journey to Michael's Craft store, I scored a handful of items that will guide my vest into much needed awesomeness!

 For this DIY, I simply added studs and lace for the underneath the pockets of the denim vest. I also, added a Rikku pin from the game Final Fantasy because I love collecting pins ever so much! Recently, I wanted to spruce it up because I became a bit bored with it honestly and plus it's quite fun to take an oldish piece from your closet and make it a project, creating a new feel for it! (Down below) are a few of vests that have been DIY-ed and are quite inspiring!

 2// Having a similar vest back in the olden days, I am kind of going for the feel of this vest. I like the notion of piecing this vest with a feminine dress, two opposites coming together as one.
3// Quite a simple addition to a vest, much of what I did to my vest prior to now. Though I do adore the simplicity to it.
4// Really wanting to find myself a black vest and keep the scheme in black and white with the patches. I, as well, had a vest quite similar to this one, that I am pretty sure it's somewhere back home in storage and I do miss it! Truly, I love the simple studs and aligned along the vest.

Haul It Up! "Summer Edition."

Hello there! I haven't done one of these in awhile truly because I don't really go all out and buy clothes all at one time. It's usually here and there which basically this haul originated from! This is my somewhat start of my summer haul which will consist of dresses, dresses and more dresses! I haven't even counted my current collection of dresses, believe me it's quite a handful!
Main Photo: Bought this dress from Ross, for about $13.99, I usually pay around 10 buckaroos for my dresses, but this dress was an immediate win. Chambray top with animal print bottom, best relationship I have seen on a dress lately, I love this dress!

1// Got this beaut from Target, for about $12, I'm trying to be really strict on anymore floral dresses, but this dress had pockets and I really can't say no to a dress with pockets so there's that!
2// An amazing find! 8 bucks at Ross, super lacy at the top and mid way becomes tulle. I mean for that price I was just wishing there were different colors so that I could buy them all!
3// There was something about this Hawaiian esque vintagey looking dress with front buttons for about $11 at Ross. It was the only one of it's kind of it there and there was just something about it. Had to bring it home with me!
4// Another $8 dress, floral once again with chambray lining around the top of the dress. Super comfy, super cute summery dress.

6// Truth be told. There were 3 dresses same exact style, but different colors. I did my best and bought only 1. It was only 8 bucks. I'm fighting going back! Hey it's lace it's truly hard for me to let any color or style of lace go, but I'm trying to be a smart saver here! Rue 21.

 I couldn't wait to wear the new sweater I crocheted to work and was quite surprised by the response I received from it! Gave me quite a boost to create more ideas that have been wandering around my mind. Two projects, WIP's I have been working on have been motivated by the combination of mixing colors. I wanted to combine some colors that I am quite fond of to make something interesting! We shall see in a few days or so!

What I Found: Grab Bag Special.

One early Saturday morning, my friend and I, Cece woke up super duper early, about 6:30 a.m. Yes on a Saturday morning, I repeat because its just a bit crazy, but we truly wanted to be first in line this time. This is our second time going to a grab bag and we were entirely prepared with rubber bands and all! Plato's Closet grab bag is basically what it details, how ever many sale items you can fit into a bag, the entire bag is ten dollars! This is my adventure into the world of serious bargain hunting!

Being first in line, entirely was a rush, we devised a plan and would search not only for our own items, but for each other. There's quite an adrenaline of grabbing whatever that catches your eye and knowing you can have it because the price is basically non-existent in a way. This time around we grabbed our top favorites, found a spot on the floor far from the bins full of sales and went through each and every item and rated on whether or not we should purchase them. Which is way smarter than what we did last time and we ended coming home and regretting a lot of our instinct pieces!

What I ended up purchasing:

Some of my "fancier esque" dresses.

Future diy/reconstruction dresses.

A handful of casual dresses.

One pair of shorts, skirt and a studded wide belt.

This wasn't part of the grab bag special, it wasn't on sale, but I just couldn't help myself. 18 buckaroos!!

The total amount of dresses with two plastic bags: I purchased was 26 dresses, 1 skirt, 1 pair of shorts and a studded belt!

My total was $41.13!!!! And the lowest item I purchased was 0.21 cents! Seriously!!

After all of the bargain clothes shopping we did at Plato's Closet, the following day we hit up my favorite dollar jewelry which I finally remembered the name, Glitter. Lol I have no idea how I could never remember the name of the store! Anywho, purchased a handful of items for the new addition to my overflowing closet.

With all of the purchases, I am entirely wiped out in more ways than one! Now I need to reconfigure my closet in order to fit these new dresses in there, I guess I gotta move some stuff out! Until next time, ash xx!
