Hello there! Lately I have been quite obsessed with denim vests and pairing them with a lovely dress for the summer times. For awhile now, I wanted to re-embellish my past diy with my denim vest (below) with more studs and random patches. After, a little journey to Michael's Craft store, I scored a handful of items that will guide my vest into much needed awesomeness!
For this DIY, I simply added studs and lace for the underneath the pockets of the denim vest. I also, added a Rikku pin from the game Final Fantasy because I love collecting pins ever so much! Recently, I wanted to spruce it up because I became a bit bored with it honestly and plus it's quite fun to take an oldish piece from your closet and make it a project, creating a new feel for it! (Down below) are a few of vests that have been DIY-ed and are quite inspiring!

So I was quite bored with my black denim jeggings and to be honest, they didn't fit the way I truly wanted them to. Plus, I've been wanting to find a pair of black denim shorts for awhile so I figured I'd cut the jeggings up and add some studs and a bit of lace for this diy.
At first I put on the jeggings and used chalk to measure exactly where I wanted to cut the shorts. Seeing how nowadays, I feel like shorts are well, pretty too durn short for my taste, so a little more space is definitely for me. I wanted cuffed shorts, I cut the length with a bit more space so that I sew the shorts once I cuffed them (2&4). After completing, the cuffing, I began the studding which is the best, yet time consuming part!
Another fun diy post! I went thrifting at Goodwill and came across this denim vest in the little girls section for about $2 which was exactly what I was looking for, for quite awhile. After looking upon many stores showcasing lace vests, I wanted to take it upon myself to recreate and create my own version of the kind without breaking the ol' wallet!
I added studs to the collar of the vest, from studs I purchased from Hobby Lobby and added lace that I bought from Wal-mart on sale for about 2 bucks for a yard. So I sewed with white thread the middle section of the denim vest. Wanting to balance out an edgy and feminine look which is why I went for lace and studs.
Wanting to try out crocheting a bracelet for myself, but with a funky twist, by adding the studs. Plus I love experimenting with diy's, winging it as you go so I created this pattern, utilizing these colors as something I would favor if I had truly caught my eye in a store.
The Ingredients:
Scissors
I used beading cords as my thread (found at Walmart for a dollar and change)
Studs
B/1-2.25MM Crochet Hook
*Measure your wrist in order to accommodate the accurate size for your bracelet.
**When switching from yarn, leave 3/4 of yarn from cutting.
Row 1: Chain 50 with yellow yarn, knot and cut.
Row 2: Add green yarn to attach SC, knot and cut.
Row 3-4: DC pink yarn, knot and cut.
Row 5: SC yellow yarn, knot and cut.
Row 6: SC green yarn
Row 7: Slip stitch yellow yarn, knot and cut.
For the ends:
When finished, with the extra yarn**.
Braid both sides of the bracelet so that you can tie the ends together.
For the studs:
All you have to do is apply the studs to the main section, which would be the pink yarn and space it as you desire.
