DIY: Free Crochet Pattern // The Golden Beret.

Hello there! Happy Tuesday to you! Here is a free crochet pattern to create one of my favorite accessories during the Fall and Winter seasons. Berets!! When I first started crocheting, creating hats were my absolute favorite project to create, I have handfuls upon handfuls of hats that I simply cannot wait to wear!

Ingredients:    
Crochet Hook>> H/8-5.50MM 
Craft Scissors  
Yarn Sewing Needle
Scrap Yarn used>>Heartland

Pom Pom Maker


  Stitch guide:   

HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain RND[number]= Round

CH 3
Connect the last ST to the very first ST by SS
RND1: HDC two times into All of the STS, 6 STS total, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.
RND2: HDC two times into the first ST, HDC into the following ST one time, HDC two times into the first ST, HDC into the following ST one time, HDC two times into the first ST, HDC into the following ST one time,  9 STS total, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.
RND3: DC one time into the first ST, CH 1, DC again into the same first ST, **CH 1, DC into the following skipped ST, CH 1, DC one time into the following ST, CH 1, DC again into the same ST...[**Repeat alternating method until the end of the Row, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.]
 RND4: DC one time into the first open space, CH 1, DC again into the same first ST, **CH 1, DC into the following skipped open space, CH 1, DC into the following skipped open space, CH 1, DC one time into the following open space, CH 1, DC again into the same ST...[**Repeat alternating method until the end of the Row, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.]
 RND5-RND6: HDC into the first 4 STS, into the 5th ST, **HDC [two times] HDC into the first 4 STS, into the 5th ST, HDC [two times]...[**Repeat alternating method until the end of the Row, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.]
RND7: HDC into the first 6 STS, into the 7th ST, **HDC [two times] HDC into the first 6 STS, into the 7th ST, HDC [two times]...[**Repeat alternating method until the end of the Row, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.]

RND8: DC one time into the first ST, CH 1, DC again into the same first ST, **CH 1, DC into the following skipped ST, CH 1, DC one time into the following ST, CH 1, DC again into the same ST...[**Repeat alternating method until the end of the Row, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST.]
RND9-RND15: HDC into All of the STS, at the end of the last ST connect to the very first ST after every Round, at the last ST, SS to complete final work.

Pom Pom [Optional]
 I used a pom pom maker to create the pom pom.
Here are references to create a pom pom, if you do not have a pom pom maker!
Once complete, using your yarn sewing needle/tapestry needle and a strand of yarn.
Sew the pom pom unto the very top of the hat, through the inside and through the pom pom several times for security.

DIY: How To Crochet A Summer Beret// Free Crochet Pattern!

Hello there! Hope you had a lovely weekend! Being such a huge fan of wearing hats year round, I thought I'd whip up a simple and casual crochet hat, that can be worn year round!
Ingredients:    
Crochet Hook>> H/8-5.50MM 
Craft Scissors  
Yarn Sewing Needle
Yarn used>>1 Skein from Sugar N' Cream (Colors: Yellow)

  Stitch guide:   
HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[number]= Row
Step 1
CH 3
Connect the last ST to the very first ST.
CH 1
HDC into the created circle 6 times.
RND1:HDC [two times] into every ST, at the end of the Row connect by SS and CH 1. [You should have a total of 12 STS]
RND2:*HDC [two times] into the first ST, into the next ST, HDC [one time] into that ST..(You will alternate between the two techniques) at the end of the Row connect by SS and CH 1. [You should have a total of 24 STS]
RND3:*HDC [two times] into the first ST, into the next TWO STS, HDC [one time] into that ST..(You will alternate between the two techniques) at the end of the Row connect by SS and CH 1. [You should have a total of 24 STS]
RND4:*HDC [two times] into the first ST, into the next THREE STS, HDC [one time] into that ST..(You will alternate between the two techniques) at the end of the Row connect by SS and CH 1. [You should have a total of 48 STS]
RND5-RND6: HDC into all of the STS for both of the rows, at the end of each row, SS to connect and CH 1 to continue work.
RND7-RND8: HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, HDC into the following ST (after the skipped ST)..[*Repeat method until the end of the Row, SS to connect and CH 1.)
RND9-RND11: DC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, HDC into the following ST (after the skipped ST)..[*Repeat method until the end of the Row, SS to connect and CH 1.)
RND12: SC into all of the STS for both of the rows, at the end of each row, SS to connect and to complete work.
