HandMade: The Winter Crochet Skirt.

Here is my newest project complete from last week's, "What's on my hook?" I have such a love for crochet skirts, I couldn't help but whip this one up from a design I had in my head. Creating the skirt, just like the previous one I made, same exact method, but I just switched up the pattern a bit. With an elastic band, the skirt is perfect for my high waisted needs! Making the skirt a little bit technical in that aspect. I'm all about challenging myself this year and with crocheting, it is a definite must. Learning new techniques, applying new ideas and experimenting to the max.

I love the idea of a heavy like piece, like the sweater skirts I have been seeing in stores during the colder seasons with a pair of boots. It's such a fun little twist of an option instead of throwing on the old sweater top. Although, I love me some sweater tops! :P

The Yarn I used:  Brown, Heather Grey, Scarlet Red, Tan, Forest Green// Red Heart Yarn and Red Heart Soft
The Hook I used: K/101/2-6.50MM
The Pattern I used: Experimental: My Own!
Title of the post inspired by: Rilo Kiley's "Portions For Foxes

Oh and I will be making a pattern for these skirts quite soon! Stay tuned!
