DIY// How To Create Your Own Crocheted Scrunchie// Free Crochet Pattern!

Hello there! I hope you are having a lovely week so far! Being a major 90's kid, I thought I'd create a free pattern of one my favorite accessories! Scrunchies!

Ingredients:     Crochet Hook>> L-8.00MM  Craft Scissors // Tapestry Yarn Sewing Needle //Half a Skein of  Lion Brand "Faux Fur Fun" Yarn // - "100% Acrylic" // Needle and Thread // 2 Safety pins [Not Shown] Pom pom maker
  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain // Round[number] Row[number]

Note: I made my scrunchie a bit bigger due to my hairstyle!

First, I cut the elastic band approximately 5 inches.

From there, I chained 17 for 16 STS, about 2 inches longer than the elastic band length, so that there will be the element of "scrunch" within the finished product.

For Row 1-Row 5: HDC into all of the STS, for all the rows, creating a 2TCHS once each row was complete. After the final row, (5) SS to complete work!

 Next, using your yarn sewing needle and a strand of yarn. Place a safety pin at the end of the elastic on both sides. Now, sew around the elastic, securing it with the yarn, weaved through the stitches. Cut yarn.

 Now with your needle and thread, sew the elastic band together securely. After the completion of the band, sew the ends of the yarn of the scrunchie together, once again using your yarn sewing needle and a strand of yarn. Once you have successfully secured the scrunchie together, cut the remaining strand and it's ready to wear!

DIY // Free Crochet Granny Square Halter Top Pattern!

Hello there! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I've had this yarn hanging around for quite awhile and I've been wanting to create something fun to wear for the Summer!

Ingredients:     Crochet Hook>> 6.00MM  Craft Scissors // Tapestry Needle //1 Skeins of  Yarn // Medium 4 // Crop Top // Needle and Thread // Measuring Tape

  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[number]= Row

 To create the granny squares. 3 inches width/3 inches length
CH 3, Connect the first ST to the last ST
Inside the loop, HDC 8 times and SS.
R1: CH 3, DC into the same ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, [DC two times into the following ST, CH 1, DC again into the same ST two times] CH 1, Skip 1 ST, [DC two times into the following ST, CH 1, DC again into the same ST two times] CH 1, Skip 1 ST, [DC two times into the following ST, CH 1, DC again into the same ST two times] CH 1, Skip 1 ST, [DC two times into the following ST, CH 1 and SS to connect.

For a small/medium sizing create 30 squares.

Next, you will connect the squares utilizing your tapestry needle and strands of yarn, Row of 4, containing 6 squares each. 18 inches for 6 granny squares.
Next, Insert your hook to the sides of the sewn crocheted piece. At each corner, 4 total chain 40 and SS, knot to cut off. 13 inches in length.

Now, Sewing the 6 granny squares together in one straight row. Sew the piece for the BACK on the SIDE in between the second and third row to attach from one side to the other.

Ingredients:     Crochet Hook>> H/8 5.50MM  Craft Scissors   Yarn Sewing Needle Yarn used>>Less than half a Skein // Red Heart Unforgettable Medium 4
  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[number]= Row

CH 63
R1: Turn work and CH 1, HDC into the first 2 STS only once, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, into the next 2 STS, HDC into the following STS..[Repeat this method until the end of the Row, turn work and CH 1.]
R2-R27: Begin to decrease at the beginning and the end of each row. Turn work and CH 1, HDC into the first 2 STS only once, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, into the next 2 STS, HDC into the following STS..[Repeat this method until the end of the Row, turn work and CH 1.]
R28: Decrease and HDC into the final ST, to create the point in the kerchief. SS and cut the strand.

Next, for the finishing look, you will insert your hook into the side of the kerchief, SC around the piece solely once.  SS and cut strands.

DIY // Crochet Lightweight Summer Scarf // Free Crochet Pattern.

Hello there! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Here is a completely free and lightweight crochet Summer infinity scarf to share. Which only requires one step to it, super easy and a perfect accessory to throw on! The beautiful yarn is from the shop: Twisted Yarns.

Ingredients:    Crochet Hook>> 2.75MM  Craft Scissors   Yarn Sewing Needle Yarn used>>1 Skein Cascade Yarns from Twisted Yarn Shop 

Stitch guide:  Will be utilizing technique "Solomon's Knot"- Video Tutorial #1
SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[number]= Row

STEP ONE

R1-R13:  CH 1, Wrap yarn over and stretch to pull yarn about an inch and a half or so, SS once it is complete, and repeat the "Solomon's Knot" technique for each Row approximately 32 times.











Next, to create the infinity look, you will utilize your yarn sewing needle and a strand yarn to sew the ends of the scarf together. Lay the ends flat and sew the stitches together.

HandMade: The True Chains Crochet Top!

Hello there! Hope you're having a lovely week! This handmade crochet top has been sitting in my "must create" queue for quite awhile now and I'm super psyched that it is complete and ready to wear! The yarn that I used for this project, I have had it for about a year, bought it at the end of last Summer. I knew as soon as I purchased it, that I wanted to create it with this design in mind, which is the best feeling when everything just comes together like that. I love it.

What I love about this top, is that it is truly comfy and I can create so many different outfits utilizing this top. It has a stylish feel to it, that isn't so drawn to specific trends, it's a lasting project that I honestly cannot wait to create more and more. The other thing that I truly love about this top is that is handmade, created for me and my shape which is truly the bees knees.
