HandMade // Shoppe Update: The Memories Crochet Cardigan Pattern.

Hello there! Hope you're having a lovely week! This is a new weekly crochet pattern project to kick off the second day of Autumn. It's official, this is my favorite season hands down! With handfuls of projects to come, I have to say this crochet cardigan with a matching belt is one that I could not wait to create. It was going to be part of the Fall Collection, though I decided to save it a little bit since it's a personal fave.

My absolute favorite part of this project, is that you can layer with this piece. Which is quite vital as the days grow slowly toward the chilly side and I wanted to create an easy piece that would be there throughout the transition. The length is also a huge favorite of mine, dusters, long cardigans are a staple in my wardrobe and now I have another to join the cardi fam. This pattern is an easy pattern which utilizes basic crochet techniques in repetition to create the full piece and it is a pattern I plan on recreating in numerous colors!

Pattern Details:
The yarn I used:  Caron One Pound [2 Skeins]
The hook I used:I/9-5.50MM

HandMade: The Deep Blue Sea Crochet Cardigan.

Hello there! Happy Thursday to you! I've been wanting to create a cardigan all year long, especially a chunky one and I have to say this one of my favorite pieces to wear. For the design, I had a few little details that I omitted, like adding buttons or pockets, though I opted to keep it a simple design.

What I love about this crochet cardigan, is that it is incredibly warm! I recall trying it on once it was complete and I didn't want to take it off at all. It has the comfy sweater vibe that I am extremely all about right now, especially in these lovely chilly weather changes. This cardigan is easy to make and perfect to wear either during a cold winter day or to bring to a freezing movie theater night!

HandMade: The Peace, Love & Fringe Cardigan

Hello there! Happy Thursday!
Here is my complete project from last week's, What's On My Hook?  A crochet fringe cardigan! This cardigan came out exactly how I had planned and designed which makes me a happy woman. :) I made the front of the cardigan shorter than the back to give it that high low feel that I've been seeing on numerous dresses. I wanted to apply it to this cardigan alongside the fringe. The fringe was cut in completely different sizes, some are short, some are longer, which goes along with the feel of the cardigan being free and letting the fringe fall where it falls. Didn't want any of it to feel perfect so to speak. Also, I decided to add fringe to the 3 quarter length sleeves for an element of surprise and a bit of fun.

The crochet technique I used, was the single crochet and an open work stitch that made it a bit freeing and perfect for layering over tops and dresses.

The Yarn I used: Bernat Baby Sport Yarn (Baby Taupe)
The Hook I used: H/8-5.00 MM
The Pattern I used: Experimental: My Own!

outfit details: dress from rue 21/top from rue 21/fringe necklace from kohls/sunglasses from party city/hat from forever 21/boots from dsw (few years back)
