DIY>> Lavender Love Crochet Cowl// Free Pattern!

Hello there! Happy Handmade Tuesday to you! These next few weeks I am planning to create items for the upcoming holiday season. Items that you can make for those special someone's in your life! This cowl popped in my head primarily because I love little accessories that can bring a simple outfit to life!

Ingredients//
Scissors
Crochet Hook H8-5.00MM
Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)

Crochet Terms//
SC= Single Crochet
DC= Double Crochet
HDC= Half Double Crochet
SS= Slip Stitch
ST(S)= Stitch(es)
CH= Chain


Let's Begin!
CH 38
Row 1: DC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 2
Row 2: HDC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 1
Row 3: *DC into the first ST, skip 1 ST, DC two times into the following ST after the skipped one. Repeat method until the end of the Row.
Row 4: HDC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 2
Row 5: DC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 1
Row 6: *DC into the first ST, skip 1 ST, DC two times into the following ST after the skipped one. Repeat method until the end of the Row.
Row 7: HDC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 2
Row 8: DC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 1
Row 9: *DC into the first ST, skip 1 ST, DC two times into the following ST after the skipped one. Repeat method until the end of the Row.
Row 10: HDC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 2
Row 11: HDC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. CH 1
Row 12: SC the entire row, connect the last ST to the very ST. SS and weave in the ends!

DIY: The Color Block Crochet Cowl.

Hello there! It's Tutorial Tuesday and seeing as the days remain a bit on the chilly side. I really wanted to make a crochet cowl utilizing the color block technique with a touch of springy colors. 
The Ingredients: Scissors Crochet Hook  J/10-6.00MM 2 Yarn of your choice
  
Crochet Techniques with abbreviations: 
>>HDC=Half Double Crochet

>> SC= Single Crochet

>>SS=Slip Stitch
>>CH=Chain

Start a CH of 28 with your primary yarn.
(Photo from Left to Right)
Start a HDC for Row 1.
For Row 2-22 continue the HDC
(Photo from Left to Right)
With your secondary yarn, connect to the primary yarn.
Continue the technique of HDC Row 1-21


Next, for the edges, you will SC around the entire piece.
To connect, you will connect the piece to form a circle.
