DIY // Free Crochet Pattern // Chunky Bow Infinity Scarf!

Hello there! Hope your weekend was a safe, nice and warm one! Speaking of warm, this tutorial is all about keeping you super toasty. I'm pretty obsessed with scarves, especially infinity scarves which I like to experiment with making each one different in its own way. So here is a free crochet pattern on how to crochet this bow infinity scarf utilizing two colors and a new stitch technique.

Ingredients:    

Crochet Hook>> N 9.00MM  Craft Scissors   Yarn Sewing Needle
  Yarn used>>1 Skein [Main Color] [Both Yarns "Cozy Wool" from Loops & Threads]  

Half a Skein [Secondary Color] Super Bulky 6

  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain RND[number]= Round

CH 13 [Using Main Color]  
R1: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work. R2: SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

R3: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work. R4: SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

R5-R36: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

Switch Colors [Secondary Color]

*Note: You will switching colors with the Main Color.

 R1: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.
R2: SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

R3: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.  

R4: {using main color] SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

 R5: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.
R6: SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work.

R7: HDC into all of the STS for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, turn work. R8: {using main color] SC into the BACK LOOP for the entire Row, at the very end of the Row, SS to complete work.

Sewing Technique

Using your yarn sewing needle and a strand of the main color, Sew the ends of the scarf together through the seams to connect.

Finishing Technique

Next, using the coordinating color, insert hook unto the side of the scarf for the Finishing Look, SC around the entire finished piece. Once you have completed the sole Row of SC, SS at the end to complete final work.

Next, with a strand of yarn [an inch or so] from the Secondary Color, cinch the middle of the Secondary Color Section to create a "bow" effect. Wrap the strand around, tying it securely in place with a knot into the back of the finished piece.

DIY // How To Crochet A Fringe Infinity Scarf!

Hello there! I've been wanting to recreate a fringe scarf for myself lately and I thought I'd share this free pattern! Plus, it's an easy pattern you can gift a loved one with for the Holiday season!

Crochet Hook>> I/9 5.00MM //  Craft Scissors  // Yarn Sewing Needle // 

  Yarn used>>Less Than Half a Skein [Caron Simply Soft Yarn]

  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[row]= Round

Note: You will be working in rounds!

STEP 1// To start the scarf.

 CH 71

Connect the last ST, to the very first ST. 

RND1: HDC into every single ST for the entire round, connect by SS and CH 1 to continue work.

RND2-12: HDC into the first two STS, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, HDC [two times] into the following two STS, CH 1, Skip 1 ST...[Repeat method until the very end of each round, connect by SS and CH 1 to continue work.] At the final Round [12] SS to complete final work.

STEP  2// To create the fringe.
Next, to create the fringe for the scarf. 
Cut 2 inches of 68-70 strands of yarn.
Two strands with go in between the [skip stitches] of Round 12. 
Bring the yarn through the open ST, and knot all the strands to the edges of the scarf, entirely around the scarf.

Truly being a huge fan of Red Hearts Unforgettable Yarn and I had previously created a crochet dress utilizing it for the Fall Collection, but I really wanted to utilize the remaining yarn so here is the project!

DIY// Free Crochet Pattern> How To Crochet An Infinty Scarf!

Hello there! Happy Tuesday to you! Currently, these last few posts, I have been working with my yarn scrap bin. Attempting to reduce the amount of overflowing leftover skeins from previous projects. This is another project where it entirely utilizes scrap yarn to create something new and quite in the light of Spring!

 Ingredients:      
Crochet Hook>>J/10-6.00MM
Scissors
Scrap Yarn used>>Less than 1 Skein of all the colors (Red Heart Super Saver)

Stitch guide
SC= single crochet      
HDC= half double crochet  
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= stitch(es)
CH= chain

You will be working in rounds for this project.
CH 70
Connect the first CH to the very last CH by SS.
Hot Pink
Rows 1-4: HDC in all of the STS, for all of the Rows, at the end of the Row, connect the very last ST to the very first ST.
Light Pink
Rows 5-9: HDC in all of the STS, for all of the Rows, at the end of the Row, connect the very last ST to the very first ST.
Lavender
Rows 10-14: DC in all of the STS, for all of the Rows, at the end of the Row, connect the very last ST to the very first ST.
Light Lilac
Rows 14-18: HDC in all of the STS, for all of the Rows, at the end of the Row, connect the very last ST to the very first ST.
Purple
Rows 19-23: HDC in all of the STS, for all of the Rows, at the end of the Row, connect the very last ST to the very first ST.
Row 24: SC in all of the STS, for the entire Row, at the end of the Row, SS and cut the remaining yarn to sew in the previous STS.
Weave in the ends.

DIY: How To Crochet A Heart Scarf// Free Patern!

Hello there! Happy Tuesday to you! This super easy crochet pattern is brought to you by all things hearts! Valentines Day is swiftly approaching and I entirely wanted to make something in the lane of love. Even if you don't truly celebrate that day, this scarf is just a super cute way to add a bit of fun to your outfit!

This free crochet project is still maintaining my goal to entirely utilize my scrap yarn bin and recycle the yarn I have just a little bit of. So this project is entirely under one skein for both bits of yarn. 

Oh and my crochet skirt, worn in the photographs, is available in pattern and made to order on my Dream Crochet Shoppe!

Ingredients:   
Crochet Hook>> H8-5.00MM
Scissors
Scrap Yarn used>>1 Skein of (red) and 1 Skein (grey) of Red Heart Super Saver
 
Stitch guide
SC= single crochet  
HDC= half double crochet
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= Stitch(es)
CH= chain 

To start the crochet scarf, using your grey yarn.
Step 1
CH 20
*Row 1: HDC the entire Row, Turn
Row 2: DC the entire Row, Turn,
(*Note: You will be alternating between HDC and DC until you reach Row 50.)
Row 51: SC the entire last Row, SS, cut yarn off to weave in the end.

*Note: I used this pattern to create the hearts, I modified it a bit when it came to the finishing technique.

To create 2 hearts, using your red yarn
Step 1
CH 7
Skip the first ST
Row 2-3: SC in the 6th STS, turn, CH 1
Row 4: SC into the first 3 STS only, turn CH 1
Row 5-6: SC in the 3 STS
Once completing the last row, SC around the entire heart.
When you hit the "dip" where the middle of the heart is, SS instead of SC.
Once you hit the bottom of the heart, SC two times into the ST.

*Once you hit the beginning of the heart.
You will begin HDC around the heart at the corners of the heart, HDC two times in the same ST, in the dip, SS instead of HDC and at the bottom of the heart. HDC two times into the same ST again.
When you are at the beginning of the SS, cut off remaining yarn and sew in the edges.

After completing the hearts, thread your red yarn into your yarn sewing needle. You will then sew the hearts unto the bottom of the scarf at both ends.

DIY: The Golden Crochet Drawstring Scarf Free Pattern.

Hello there! I hope you are doing quite well. I've had this golden scarf hanging around my finished items and I thought I'd share a free pattern on how to make it for yourself or for a loved one.

Ingredients:
Red Heart Super Saver (In Gold) Half a skein used
Scissors
Crochet Hook (K/101/12-.6.50MM)
Yarn needle

Crochet Terms//
SC= Single Crochet
HDC= Half Double Crochet
SS= Slip Stitch
ST(S)= Stitch(es)
CH= Chain
DC= Double Crochet
YO= Yarn Over

Notes: *Repeat method from here.

CH 85
Row 1: HDC the entire first row, connecting the very first ST to the last ST.
Row 2: CH 4, you will skip two spaces, two STS and *DC into the 3rd ST, CH 3, Skip
2 STS and DC into the following ST. *Repeat until end of the row, connecting the last ST to the very first ST.
Row 3-18: CH 2, you *YO 5 times into the open ST made from Row 2 and CH 3 to YO 5 times into the following open work. *Repeat until end of the row, connecting the last ST to the very first ST.
Row 19: HDC the entire first row, connecting the very first ST to the last ST.

Finishing:
Using the yarn needle you will weave in the ends into the STS.

For the Drawstring:
You will simply CH 90, tighten the chain and cut.
Weave the drawing in between the open spaces and you're done!

DIY: The Crochet Special Knot Scarf.

Happy Tuesday to ya! I found a real cool trick on how to tie your scarf and I wanted to create a crochet scarf where I could utilize that awesome method. It's a super easy pattern to make and even more cooler is that it's a free pattern, so enjoy!

Ingredients:  
Crochet hook (N-9.00MM)  
Yarn (Loops and Threads Charisma Taupe) 2 of them

Scissors  
Yarn sewing needle (to weave in the ends/photo not shown)

Abbreviations:
SC=single crochet
HDC=half double crochet
SS=Slip Stitch
CH=Chain
YO=Yarn Over
Turn= Turn work around 

Tutorial on how to tie the scarf, HERE.

CH 10, Turn,
Row 1: HDC the entire Row, Turn,
Row 2: DC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip the next ST, DC into the following ST (repeat until end of Row.) Turn
Row 3: DC the entire Row, Turn
Row 4: HDC the entire Row
(You will repeat this method until you reach approximately 98 Rows.
Sew in the edges if need be.
