HandMade: The Heights Crochet Sweater Top.

Hello there! Happy Thursday to you! I've had the yarn I used for this top for awhile, had picked it primarily due to the color of it. It kind of frightened me. I'm not particular drawn to this color and I wanted to challenge myself to create a pattern that would turn that apprehension around. I felt with the color, I wanted to design a pattern that can be utilize throughout the majority of the year. A short sleeve top that also had a bit of duality to it so that it can roomy and airy for more warmer days, but also a comfy choice to layer.

What I love about this sweater, is that it's incredibly comfy and the color truly brightens up any outfit. You can dress this top up or throw a pair of jeans and you're good to go! Though to be honest, the best thing about this top, is that it is one of a kind, it's handmade and there's entirely nothing that feels better than that!

HandMade: The Comfy Over-Sized Crochet Sweater.

I am quite in love with this oversize super comfy crochet sweater I whipped out from a design I've had in my head for months. Trust me, it feels like I am wearing a cozy blanket and that is pretty awesome. Granted I've got awhile before I can actually wear this baby out, though our mornings here have been pretty smooth, it's entirely one of my favorite pieces to wear.

The sweater is absolutely perfect for wearing with jeans, leggings, (my go-to) or even throwing a dress over it could be an option. It's just a sweater that I know I will be making more of not only for myself, but it will be up on my Etsy quite soon to purchase!

HandMade: The Stay Crochet Sweater.

Hello there & Happy Thursday! I have been wanting to buy and use this yarn for ages. Every single time that I would go to Michael's I would just stare at it, entirely thrown off by the price. (11.99) though with a coupon, it really isn't a big deal, but I suppose if I was going to purchase it, I needed to have a game plan in mind. 

I wanted to create a little bit more than a cropped top kind of sweater with structured sleeves. It doesn't get crazy cold here in Texas, so I opted to create a top more fitting for our Autumn seasons. Pairing it with a pair of slight high waisted denim and it's definitely a lovely combination.

I must say, working with this yarn was a bit of a dream and I entirely want to go buy more and more for all the other ideas I have stored up! The yarn is very comfortable and doesn't hold any itchy factor along with it. I'm entirely up for creating more as well as sharing the pattern!

HandMade: The Mockingjay Crochet Sleeveless Top.

Here is my newest project complete from last week's, "What's on my hook?" I have finished the most arduous project I have ever tackled. I know that sounds a bit dramatic, but it truly was an interesting and very technical task. I must say, I am very, very elated of how it all came out! Being such a fan of the books as well as the movies, I felt that creating this sweater would be such an awesome way to show my appreciation.

It took a handful of hours, much deliberation on whether the progress appeared mockingjay like and a bit of self doubt, but once I hit the last row of crocheting, it appeared the way I imagined, which is super rad! I truly cannot wait to wear it for the next movie!

HandMade: The Crochet Crossed Shawl.

Hello there and Happy Thursday! Here is my completed project from last weeks', 'What's on my hook?' It's another experimental project, big surprise! Definitely want to experiment more with this item and try different stitches and methods with this pattern. It was a bit tricky trying to figure out how to go about creating this shawl, but after a few tries, here it is! It is super comfy and I don't have to fidget around with it. Even with the slit in the pattern I have the option of leaving it a bit open or tying it together. I love pieces that I can utilize in numerous ways!

The crochet technique I used, was the half double crochet, double crochet single crochet and an open stitch method.

HandMade: The All In A Row Crochet Bow Sweater.

Hello there & Happy Thursday!
Here is my complete project, from last week's, What's on my hook?  The sweater is complete and I think it fits the girly and feminine look I was aiming for. I knew the addition of the bows were to be applied somewhere on the sweater. Though it wasn't until the sweater was entirely complete, that the idea for having crocheted tiny little bows sewn around the neckline of the collar.
Even though, I battled the concern of the color, especially for the Autumn season, I felt a bit more comfortable when it was finished and I could see the final product. As well as how it would flow with the other items in my closet.Plus, it's always a bit fun to add a surprise color into the mix every now and then!

The crochet technique I used, was the  half double crochet and double crochet. I wanted the sweater to be a bit tight knit.

HandMade: The "Violet, You're Turning Violet!" Crochet Sweater

Hello there! Happy Thursday! Here is my complete project from last week's, What's On My Hook?  A crochet peter pan collared sweater. To be honest, I thought this was going to come out entirely different from how I had planned and designed, but I stuck with it  and it worked itself out! 
I've had this idea in my head for quite awhile and had been saving this yarn for this particular project. Now that its' finally the right time, the right season, I decided to whip it up and now I'm ready for more sweaters in all the colors!

The crochet technique I used, was the half double crochet, double crochet and an open work stitch that worked quite well for the lace romper I wanted to pair with it. I stuck with the basics as usual for this project. For the collar, I crocheted the collar separately and sewed it onto the sweater.

The Yarn I used: Deep Violet// Red Heart Soft for the sweater and Light Grey// Red Heart Soft
The Hook I used: J/10-6.00MM   
The Pattern I used: Experimental: My Own!
