Hello there! Hope you're having a lovely week! This handmade crochet dress was supposed to be in the music festival theme crochet project a few weeks ago, (made a handful of dresses) but I decided to leave it out and share it at a later time!

What I love about this dress, is how comfortable it is for the Spring and Summer time. Not heavy at all and I could either layer it with a swimsuit underneath for the beach or throw a slip underneath for a simple Spring dress! This dress can be created in any size and is a perfect handmade creation for you or for a loved one!

HandMade: The Crochet Gable Wrap Skirt.

Hello there! First off, this was truly meant to come out a bit different than I had designed, but overall I am elated with the final product. Actually came out a tad a bit more interesting! I wanted to create a skirt with cable sweater look to it, but had an interesting structure to it. Ultimately, this is the result of the those two worlds colliding. 

This was my first time experimenting with a wrap crochet item and it definitely featured a few challenges regarding when to decrease and increase the rows according to my measurements. Over time, I'm sure I get the hook of it. (see what I did there har har.) This skirt will entirely keep me warm during the kind of chilly times here in Texas, but the comfort what I aim for with all of my pieces. The comfy level needs to be on point especially with yarn!

Project Details:
The yarn I used was Red Heart Super Saver (Forest Green)
The hook I used was a K/101/2-6.50MM

DIY: The Crochet Drawstring Headband// Free Pattern!

Hello there! Happy Tuesday to you! Here is a free pattern for this crochet drawstring headband that I came up with on a complete whim. In an attempt to create something a bit different than this final product which I'll eventually get to, I thought I'd share this accidental creation!

Ingredients//
Scissors
Crochet Hook H8-5.00MM
Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)

Crochet Terms//

SC= Single Crochet

DC= Double Crochet

HDC= Half Double Crochet

SS= Slip Stitch

ST(S)= Stitch(es)

CH= Chain

Let's Start!
CH 51
Connect the first ST to the very last ST.
CH 1
Start your first Row.
Row 1// SC the entire Row. At the very end of the Row, connect the last ST to the very first ST and CH 2.
Row 3-5// Skip two STS. *DC into the third ST from the hook two times, CH 1 and DC into the same ST two times.
Skip over 2 STS and repeat from* until the very end of the row, connect the last ST to the very first ST and CH 2.
Row 6// HDC the entire  Row. At the very end of the Row, connect the last ST to the very first ST and CH 1.
Row 7// SC the entire  Row. At the very end of the Row, connect the last ST to the very first ST connect, cut to tie off and sew in the remaining end of yarn.

For the drawstring//
CH 60.
Tie off and loop through the open spaces from Row 4.

DIY: The Autumn Bow Crochet Shoulder Shrug & Scarf.

Hello there! Happy Tuesday to you. I've had this yarn in my bin for quite awhile and this design had been in my head for the same amount of time. So I thought, why not combine the two worlds to create this shoulder shrug? For one, I love shrugs, especially this one that can also be utilized as a scarf, which is the best of two worlds. Which is why I thought I'd share the free pattern for those who love a good deal!

Ingredients:
Yarn (I used Loops & Threads//Ginseng)
Scissors
Crochet hook (5MM)
Yarn sewing needle

Abbreviations:
SC=single crochet
HDC=half double crochet
SS=Slip Stitch
CH=Chain
YO=Yarn Over  
Turn= Turn work around 

Using a puff stitch for this pattern.

This pattern was made for a Small/Medium. You may use your personal measurements to accommodate the cowl!

Firstly, CH 50.
Turn, HDC the entire Row 1 and turn at the end of the Row.

Row 2: DC into the first ST, *skip the following ST, DC into the next ST, *Repeat from the asterisk, End of Row, Turn.

Row 3: Starting a puff stitch. [Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yarn over 5 times] into the hole that the following Row 2 created, pull through all 6 loops and CH 1. You will YO 5 times into each ST for the entire Row 3. End of Row, Turn.

Row 4: Continuing with the puff stitch.  [Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yarn over 7 times] into the hole that the following Row 2 created, pull through all 8 loops and CH 1. You will create the puff stitch technique into each ST for the entire Row 4. End of Row, Turn.

Row 5: Continuing with the puff stitch.  [Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yarn over 5 times] into the hole that the following Row 2 created, pull through all 6 loops and CH 1. You will create the puff stitch technique into each ST for the entire Row 5. End of Row, Turn.

Row 6: DC into the first ST, *skip the following ST, DC into the next ST, *Repeat from the asterisk until the end of Row, Turn.

Row 7-8: CH 3, *YO, DC into the hole presented by Row 6, CH 1, *Repeat from the asterisk until the end of Row, Turn.

Row 9: DC into the first 4 STS, DC two times into the 5th ST, DC into the next 4 STS, *Repeat from the asterisk until the end of Row, Turn.

Row 10: HDC the entire Row, SS at the end, cutting yarn off to sew in the edges with the yarn sewing needle.

With half a bit of yarn, if you choose. Tie the yarn right around the middle section of the shrug (I simply guessed the middle) to create the bow-esque look.

HandMade: The Comfy Over-Sized Crochet Sweater.

I am quite in love with this oversize super comfy crochet sweater I whipped out from a design I've had in my head for months. Trust me, it feels like I am wearing a cozy blanket and that is pretty awesome. Granted I've got awhile before I can actually wear this baby out, though our mornings here have been pretty smooth, it's entirely one of my favorite pieces to wear.

The sweater is absolutely perfect for wearing with jeans, leggings, (my go-to) or even throwing a dress over it could be an option. It's just a sweater that I know I will be making more of not only for myself, but it will be up on my Etsy quite soon to purchase!

HandMade: The Lost At Sea Crochet Dress.

 This crochet dress was kind of a breeze to make and I am quite elated on how it came out! With much practice I'm getting these designs down! My main objective was to create focus on the neckline, little details go a long way. The dress was made in mind for layering, that is entirely what Autumn is all about to me and to the designs I have drawn up. The dress is super comfortable and very light actually, so with a blouse underneath or even leggings, I am good to go!

I am quite excited to share this pattern, it's fairly easy and hopefully, (I'm a bit behind oops) and maybe even a post on how to create your own crochet dress. Which could be quite interesting to share!
