On My Hook.

Currently, I've been working with this forest green yarn from Red Heart, wanting to create a deconstructed skirt, utilizing a different shape than what most skirts are made. I know, that sounds confusing, but once it's completed it'll make sense..hopefully! It is a skirt that I have designed that will emulate the look of a cable stitch and draw in the appeal of a sweater skirt. Which is one of my favorite things to wear during the Fall/Winter season.

Another addition to the mix was the selection of buttons, I went to craft store to craft store attempting to find the most fitting set that would compliment this skirt. Thankfully, one of the stores I hit up, had tons of buttons on sell, so now for future projects I am pretty much golden!

On My Hook.

Currently, I have been working with this lavendar yarn from Red Heart, since I have been obsessed with creating crochet dresses. This dress is another one that I've been wanting to make in this color especially for the Fall, seeing as I tend to stick to the neutrals, the usual suspects. Brown, black, tan and repeat. Time to utilize diverse colors and patterns and experiment a bit more, in the crochet aspect. I'm excited to perceive the design come to life and be coupled with store bought items. It's a fun experimental world that I'm glad I've settled in now, I can return with a clear mind to this creative environment!
Off to crochet more!

On My Hook.

Currently, I've been working on this purple number, creating an item that I am truly digging for the summer. It's my first time creating this particular design, so I am hoping it comes along the way that I have imagined. If not, I'm pretty sure something new and unexpected will be created and that's just as cool.

On My Hook.

The project I am currently working on, is one I have been putting off for a bit, going back and forth upon, to create other projects that have peaked my interest. I'm attempting to recreate the crochet shorts I made a few years back. With the pattern I created years ago, I'm planning to experiment upon it and see how I can recreate it. I'm hoping it comes out how I am picturing it, if not, it's back to the redrawing board! Or hopefully something new can blossom from the idea, which at times I found a lot more inspiring than the planned out ones.
Now I'm off to crochet!

What's On My Hook.

Lately, I have been working on another maxi number entirely inspired by summer music festivals like Coachella, which I have been admiring the number of outfits I have seen. A handful of crochet pieces as well are insanely knocking me off my feet and creating this beautiful urge to create more and more summer pieces. Seeing as I seem to slack off a bit during the summer times! This project is entirely going to be one of those interchangeable pieces that I can see myself wearing with almost every top in my wardrobe! Nonetheless, I am off to make my way through this project.

What's On My Hook.

My head is entirely filled with tons and tons of ideas for crocheting and this project is one of them. I am creating an off white boho influenced crochet maxi dress. It will be my very first maxi dress and I am too excited to wear it this Spring and Summer time. There will be a handful of these designs coming my way too!
I personally love using Caron Simply Soft Yarn during the more heat heavy seasons, they seem to feel a bit lighter to wear and more comfortable!

What's On My Hook.

What's on my hook this week is Caron Simply Soft yarn, I am fusing two worlds together once again. Fabric and crochet, I am planning on creating a crochet dress. Spring time is so close I can almost feel it and I am ready to start my little spring collection of ideas.

I have made crochet & fabric dresses numerous times before, (see here) but it's been a great deal of time since I have created one. This fabric sort of brought me back to that path and I am more than anxious to see it all come together!

What's On My Hook.

What's on my Hook? This week I have been itching to start up some spring designs, but I'm holding off a little bit more. Well I'm trying. This design is experimental, quite experimental to the point where I'm not entirely sure where the piece is going to go, but just crossing my fingers that it's somewhat near to what is in my mind. Plus, it's entirely fun to just see what your hands create along the way.

What's On My Hook?

What's on my hook? Currently, it's a silver grey bit of yarn from Caron. I am planning on creating a shawl/wrap sweater item. I have a design in mind and I am quite anxious to create it entirely, more so to actually wear the piece. The item becomes a bit technical and I am hoping that I can figure it out quite swiftly and it won't become an arduous obstacle that will have to redo.Even so, with challenge comes a greater feeling of success, so I'm entirely ready for that emotion!

I must say, I am keeping my personal projects down to simple items for right now, seeing as I have a handful of projects to create before Christmas.

Where is the yarn from? The yarn is a heather grey/silverish shade from Caron Yarn,  I presume.

What''s On My Hook?

What's on my hook?
Currently, I have this scarlet esque yarn on my hook, which I used for the red cape hood handmade project. My lovely friend brought my attention to this bag that she spotted on another blog and she immediately called me to let me know that I should be making this bag....For her that is! :p I am quite inspired by the bag, though my design will of course feature fringe as well, but it will be a bit modified towards my style. I haven't made a bag since I believe it was last year and it has been a project on my list that I think now is the great time to whip one up!

Where is the yarn from? This yarn is Country Rose// Caron One Pound. It's the perfect shade for the bag and I can't wait to fringe it up with this project!

What's On My Hook?

What's on my hook?
Currently, I have this teal yarn on my hook, which I have been fighting back and forth when I want to use it. Thinking it might be too springy for the fall and winter season, I was entirely convinced after browsing a few stores and seeing a handful of sweaters in this exact color. I suppose it gave me that little push I needed to go forth and create the sweater I have designed in my mind for this specific yarn.

I believe this project will be more so on the cutesy side of town, definitely want to add a bit of a girly feel to it. It's a bit fun creating a theme for each project, gives  it a bit of life I feel. I'm actually moving quite along with the project which only means in my head that this idea has been resting too long there. Oh it'll be an interesting road of creating!

Where is the yarn from?
(It's Teal from Caron One Pound) also, I might be using one more other color, haven't decided yet!  I'm quite in love with this color I must admit and I am quite intrigued with the idea of mixing the final project into my wardrobe.

What's On My Hook?

What's on my hook?
Currently, I have this taupe number on my hook and it is the perfect shade of taupe. I am planning to create a long cardigan of sorts,  inspired by the boho chic style.  Which I have love especially when it comes to crochet as well as knits. I believe the flower child in me is coming out in this project and I am quite anxious to get it all complete so I can wear it! Fringe will entirely play a part in this project, which I am huge fan of and suits the whole hippie feel of it.

Where is the yarn from?

(It's Bernat Baby Sport// Baby Taupe) from my Yarn Haul Post for October. I'm loving this yarn, I think I'm going to make space in my yarn bin for this brand in however many colors they come in! Well back to it I go! Do wish me luck!

Question: What current projects are you working on?
