On My Hook.

Currently, I am feeling a bit under the weather, but I have a handful of projects that are sort of helping me feel a bit better. I've been working on a piece inspired by the mood of Halloween. It's a crochet graphic tapestry design that I have had sitting in my mind for awhile now. I am mixing black and white yarn which I will be creating a lot of this season for it is truly one of my favorite color combos!

On My Hook.

Currently, I have been working with this lovely cream wooly yarn, with the hopes and design to create a super over-sized sweater. Granted, weather down here in Texas isn't going to let me wear it anytime soon, but it's definitely a piece I have been wanting to make for a long time.

Out of all the items I make, sweaters are the most trying design to create, but I am attempting to become a bit better with executing what I picture in my mind and what forms with these two hands. I'm feeling quite confident this next crochet endeavor will produce an outcome I simply cannot wait to wear! Stay Tuned!
Hope your projects are coming along quite nicely!

On My Hook.

Currently, I have been creating another crochet dress (big surprise!) which is in this lovely teal-ish color, once again bringing some color into the wardrobe. It is definitely another dress that was made to be paired up and layered like crazy, I'm just waiting for the weather to allow me to do as so! These dresses have been coming in like water and I'm doing my best to take each project one at a time, I'm quite anxious to get all of them completed, but also work on some new projects to sell in both of the shoppes!

On My Hook.

I must say, mustard and canary yellow are my absolute favorite go to colors for the Fall. There is just something about that color that I simply get so excited about. Perhaps its one of the hues that the fallen leaves hold when they hit the ground. Well whatever it is, I am more than elated that it is something I can take and form into whatever I desire.

This next project, dun dun dun, is another crochet dress. I'm a bit obsessed with creating crochet dresses and with more practice, they are coming much easier to design. This has to be one of my favorites to make so far and I cannot wait for this heaty Texas weather to slowly form into somewhat of a Fall atmosphere. Fingers crossed over here.

On My Hook.

Currently, I have been a bit obsessed with crop tops and tie front tops as well. So with this current project I wanted to experiment with a tie front project. I have a slight design that's been lingering in my head, so once again it turns out fairly close to the image I've been picturing. If not, then most likely it'll turn into something else for sure! Either way I'm down for the adventure.

For this project, I  am using Caron Simply Soft yarn, they are just carrying the colors I really like to worth with as well as the lightness of the yarn. Though I will be slowly, but shortly moving towards utilizing cotton yarn for the summer!

On My Hook.

Currently, what's been on my hook is off white yarn that will, with much hope, turn into a summertime crochet dress. I've had the design in my head for awhile now and I am truly just experimenting along the way. Taking notes and such along the way which is usually how I do things!

I must say, that it is extremely hard to figure out what project I want to tackle next, I sort of just let it happen and it's always an experience!

What's On My Hook.

Lately, I have been working on another maxi number entirely inspired by summer music festivals like Coachella, which I have been admiring the number of outfits I have seen. A handful of crochet pieces as well are insanely knocking me off my feet and creating this beautiful urge to create more and more summer pieces. Seeing as I seem to slack off a bit during the summer times! This project is entirely going to be one of those interchangeable pieces that I can see myself wearing with almost every top in my wardrobe! Nonetheless, I am off to make my way through this project.

What's On My Hook.

What's on my hook this week is Caron Simply Soft yarn, I am fusing two worlds together once again. Fabric and crochet, I am planning on creating a crochet dress. Spring time is so close I can almost feel it and I am ready to start my little spring collection of ideas.

I have made crochet & fabric dresses numerous times before, (see here) but it's been a great deal of time since I have created one. This fabric sort of brought me back to that path and I am more than anxious to see it all come together!

What's On My Hook?

What's on my Hook? Yeah I'm back to creating patterned tops this week! I'm super excited to start on this new one, it's from one of my favorite movies. Truly inspired me to show my love for it in the form of crochet which is the main reason why I love making these crochet graphic tops. I love being able to exhibit my adoration for these genres in an art form of sorts.

Using four different colors of yarn and following a design pattern for the main image, collected onto my phone, I am glancing at the sketch almost every stitch. Quite elated to show to the finished product off, once it all comes together that is!

What's On My Hook?

What's on my hook?   Currently, I have this black yarn on my crochet hook. (Also, white yarn will be implemented as well!) I am planning on creating a crochet skirt. Wanting to make either a skirt or crochet shorts, I opted for this particular skirt because the design is stuck in my head and I want to wear it already! Here I am shown, creating the crochet band in which I will sew an elastic band around it. I'm not exactly sure of the length of the skirt as of yet, I'm just going to go by my eye and see how it all turns out!

Though I am working on this skirt, I have a handful of Christmas gifts and local items that I am making for clients! So far, I haven't lost my mind, but then again it's still a tiny bit early! :P

Where is the yarn from? Both of the yarn bundles are from Red Heart Super Saver. I am utilizing a striped technique with a pleated twirly feel to it!

What's On My Hook?

What's on my hook?
Currently, I have this taupe number on my hook and it is the perfect shade of taupe. I am planning to create a long cardigan of sorts,  inspired by the boho chic style.  Which I have love especially when it comes to crochet as well as knits. I believe the flower child in me is coming out in this project and I am quite anxious to get it all complete so I can wear it! Fringe will entirely play a part in this project, which I am huge fan of and suits the whole hippie feel of it.

Where is the yarn from?

(It's Bernat Baby Sport// Baby Taupe) from my Yarn Haul Post for October. I'm loving this yarn, I think I'm going to make space in my yarn bin for this brand in however many colors they come in! Well back to it I go! Do wish me luck!

Question: What current projects are you working on?

What's On My Hook?

Currently, I am working on an over sized crochet sweater dress/tunic which is something I have been wanting to create for awhile now. Especially since the weather has been quite fit to layer up and all. I 've found the inspiration to crochet up this dress which is a bit inspired by jumpers! Not only attempting the idea of the creating something dress like again, the huge obstacle was finding what color I wanted to make it in. I finally reached he winning color of an Aran shade, cream and off white tint, which goes perfectly with brown and greys. Now all I have to do is complete it! Which I know will take a great deal of time, but I'm excited of how it's going to turn out because all I have is a little sketch in a book and a idea in my mind. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one!
