DIY // Summer 70's Crochet Headband. Free Crochet Pattern!

Hello there! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Here is a completely free and 70's inspired crochet Summer headband! Which only requires one skein, super easy and a fun accessory to wear!

Ingredients:     Crochet Hook>> J/10 6.00MM  Craft Scissors   Yarn Sewing Needle Yarn used>>1 Skein  Sugar N Cream Medium 4
  Stitch guide:    HDC= half double crochet// SC=single crochet// DC=double crochet// SS= slip stitch //ST(S)= stitch(es)// CH= chain R[number]= Row

STEP ONE

CH 101 [42 inches]

R1: HDC into every stitch for the entire row, when complete, turn work and CH 1.

R2-R3: HDC into the first two STS, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following 2 STS...[You will repeat this method for the entire Row..when reaching the end, continue an extra HDC to complete the Row and SS.]

Measure about 13 inches in and insert your hook into the 33rd ST.
R4-R5: HDC into the first two STS, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, and HDC into the following 2 STS...[You will repeat this method for the entire Row..when reaching the end, leave the remaining 33 STS open and turn work. When you hit Row 5, SS to complete work.]

R6: Re-insert your hook into the very beginning, for all 100 STS to create the finished look. SC into every stitch for the entire row, when complete, SS to end final work.

HandMade: The Summer's End Crochet Dress Pattern.

Hello there! Hope you're having a lovely week! As the end of Summer is swiftly approaching, I only have a few Summer inspired crochet projects on the side. I've  had this yarn for a bit of time before this dress came to fruition. I'm a huge fan of dresses that can also be worn as a coverall or can be layered up. Which in the photo I'm layering it over a white tank and a pair of denim shorts. This dress is quite easy to create and entirely feels like a breeze to wear which is always my main goal in designing pieces. Although, I am a tad bit sad to say goodbye to Summer projects, my favorite Season (Autumn)  is entirely here to sweep me away!

HandMade: The Eiffel Rose Crochet Top!

Hello there! Hope you're having a lovely week! I've had this yarn in my "to make" stash for quite awhile, pondering over various designs I could create utilizing it. When the idea of of off the shoulder top with a bit of an over-sized "flair" to it, sent the process into overdrive. The project is truly a fun, easy breeze to a top that will bring such color and vivacity to any outfit! I am actually considering extending the design and creating a dress, not far from this pattern construction. It's definitely a color staple that I am quite elated to add to my crochet collection!

DIY: Crochet This! Free Crochet Pattern!

Hello there! Being such a huge fan of creating lacy like projects to wear over tanks and dresses for the Summer. This particular one casually strolled into my mind so I thought I'd share this super fun and whimsical piece!

Ingredients:    
Crochet Hook>> H/8-5.50MM 
Craft Scissors  
Yarn Sewing Needle
Yarn used>>1 Skein Pink/White (Yarn)
 
Stitch guide:  
HDC= half double crochet    DC= double crochet   
SC= single crochet
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= stitch(es)
CH= chain
RND[number]= Round

CH 51 (or half desired waist measurement) 
Connect the Chain by SS. You will be working in rounds to create this piece.

 R1: *HDC into the first ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, HDC into the following ST...[*Repeat this alternating method until the end of the Row, SS to connect the last ST to the very first ST.]

R2: DC only once into the first ST, CH 1, Skip to DC once into the open space, CH 1, DC once more into the same open space, CH 1, to [Repeat the same method of DC once into the following open space, CH 1, DC once more into that same space, CH 1] *Repeat this method until the end of the Row, where you will SS to connect. 
 
R3: DC only once into the first ST, CH 2, Skip to DC once into the open space, CH 1, DC once more into the same open space, CH 2, to [Repeat the same method of DC once into the following open space, CH 1, DC once more into that same space, CH 2...] *Repeat this method until the end of the Row, where you will SS to connect.

R4: DC only once into the first ST, CH 4, you will DC in between the previous Row [DC once into the following open space, CH 1, DC once more into that same space] combination, CH 4...[*Repeat this method until the end of the Row, where you will SS to connect.]

R5-R17: DC only once into the first ST, CH 6, DC into the open space created from the previous Rows, CH 6, to DC into the following space..[This method will be repeated throughout all of the Rows, from Row 5-Row 17. After each Row, SS to connect.]
 
R18: *HDC into the first ST, CH 2, into the following space DC [four times] CH 3, and into the following open space you will DC [four times] .[*Repeat this method until the end of the Row, where you will SS to to complete project.]

HandMade: The Crochet Tie Front Tank.

This project is one that I wanted to maintain simplicity and create an item I've seen in numerous clothing stores. The technique for this crochet tank was meant to be airy and lacy in the back for a (peek a boo) feel and the front emulated a bit of that feature in the front of the tank. Wanting the front tie to be minimal and not as severe if it were a mid riff created tank, I kept the tie a bit short and sweet. I will entirely be experimenting in the future with diverse designs which is an exciting motivation to think about!

Project Details:
The yarn I used was Caron Simply Soft Yarn, featuring Canary Yellow.
The hook I used was a G/6 4.25MM.
The Crochet Tie Front Tank pattern is entirely experimental, made from my own pattern.

I will be creating patterns for All of the HandMade features!
