DIY: Crochet This Vintage Inspired Headband! Free Pattern.

Hello there! This Free Crochet Pattern was entirely inspired by one of my favorite brooches. I collect about a handful of them and thought it would be an interesting concept to base a design utilizing one of them! This crochet headband is perfect for not only keeping your ears warm, but all in the zone for creating a fashion statement!
Ingredients: Crochet Hook>> I/9-5.50MM
Scissors
Yarn used>>1 Skein of Yarn Bee Effervesce Willowy
Yarn sewing needle
Brooch of your choice

Stitch guide
SC= single crochet

HDC= half double crochet
DC= double crochet
SS= slip stitch
ST(S)= Stitch(es)
CH= chain

 CH 11,
*Row 1: Turn and HDC the entire Row,
Turn work for Row 2: DC the entire Row,
Turn work for Row 3: You will once again HDC the entire Row,
*You will be alternating between HDC and DC until you reach Row 31.
Once completing the Rows.

Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.

You will begin a Finishing technique of inserting your hook into borders of the finished crochet piece.
Begin SC around the entire piece for your finished look.
Once complete.
Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.

With your yarn sewing needle and a half an inch of cut yarn.
Thread your yarn to connect the end of the crocheted piece, by sewing them together. Make sure it is very secure and a bit scrunch together. (This is where your brooch will go!)
Cut the yarn off to weave in the end.
Once complete.

With your chosen brooch, clip it or pin it where the crochet piece was sewn together.
Viola! You are now ready to wear this vintage inspired crochet headband handmade by you!

DIY>> How To Crochet Faux Fur Ear Warmers.

Hello there! There have been some chilly days here in Texas, so I had this faux fur yarn that's been in my inventory for quite awhile. So I thought I'd try to make something fun out of it, so here is an ear warmer that certainly does its' job and looks super cute while doing it!

Ingredients
>> Lion Brand Luxe Fur in Charcoal 1 Skein
>> Crochet Hook// K/101/2-6.50MM
>> Yarn needle

CH 14,
Turn to start Row 1: HDC the entire Row, turn.
Row 2- 24: HDC the entire Row (note: try to not make it too tight, the yarn is a bit arduous to see where each st is)
SS the last row, cut yarn to sew in the remaining bit.
You will now take a half an inch of yarn to wrap around the middle of the headband, to create a cinched bow look. Sew the wrapped yarn, into the headband.
Have fun crafting!

DIY: Crochet Star Headband & Crochet Pom Pom Headband.

Happy New Years Eve to ya! Here are two free tutorials/patterns on how to create these super fun and super easy headbands for New Years!

The Ingredients for the Crochet Star Headband
>> Yarn Sewing Needle

>> Crochet Hook (H/8-5.00MM)
>> White Yarn with Silver Speckles from I Love This Yarn!
>> Scissors

 Video Links for creating the Stars
>> Link #1
For the headband, I simply CH the circumference of my head comfortably. You will want to CH the correct amount and connect the last CH to the first CH. Knot and cut.
The main headband, simple as pie!
To connect the stars to the headband, use the sewing needle with a bit of yarn and sew each individual star around the "front" of the headband. Tying and knotting each one.
The Ingredients for the Crochet Pom Pom  Headband
>>
Cream Yarn with Gold Speckles from I Love This Yarn!
>> Hot Glue Gun
>> Scissors/ Crochet Hook (H/8-5.00MM)
>> Headband

Video Link to make mini pom poms
>> Link #1
To make a mini pom pom, I use the finger technique, wrapping it around ten times and tying the middle of the pom pom. I created about 7 of these pom poms.
Snipping the pom poms out!
//For the headband
Hot glue the bottom of the headband and start wrapping the yarn all around the band.
After completing the headband, hot glue each pom pom to the headband, starting at the center of the headband. Hold firmly until it dries!
