HandMade// The Crochet Mini Cable Skirt.

Hello there! As the Holiday times are swiftly approaching, I have been going project crazy, gearing up with a handful of local custom orders, personal handmade gifts for the fam and items for my crochet shoppe.
One of the items I am sharing now, which is up in the Dream Crochet Shoppe as I type this, is this crochet mini skirt! I have been dreaming of creating a sweater like skirt for a long time and I finally made one not just for myself, but for you all as well! I absolutely love the technique that emulates the look of a cable knit even though it is crochet, it entirely has the feel of it down packed!
Have a lovely weekend!

HandMade: The Crochet Crimson Hills Dress.

Hello there & Happy Thursday to you! This dress was made for layering! I specifically created this v-neck dress to be layered with this denim top. It was my first time creating a top of any sort with this kind of neckline and I am elated on trying it again. I entirely utilized a simple technique to create this dress, I usually do when it comes to the bigger projects I create, so that the design isn't too overwhelming with the degree of difficulty.

Dresses are simply one of my most favorite designs to crochet. At first, they did appear quite frightening to be honest, but it's every bit of awesome. It might take a bit of time, but the end result is always worth the effort put into it. It's much easier once you've created a few times, y'know practice makes perfect!

Also!
One of the crochet hat designs I have made is still open for daily voting! I would very much appreciate your vote, which can be cast HERE!!

Project Details:
The yarn I used was Red Heart Super Saver (Scarlet Red)
The hook I used was a K/101/2-6.50MM
The Crochet Crimson Hills Dress pattern is entirely experimental, made from my own pattern! Planning to place the pattern for purchase on my Pattern Shoppe!

My Mountain// Twisted Yarns Shop Contest Hat.

Recently, I had the marvelous opportunity to create a hat for a local yarn shop, (that I wrote HERE about!) I used a previous pattern from this hat Here and gave it a little twist so to speak. ;) It is for a store contest that the lovely Twisted Yarns are contributing to, I came up with this design utilizing the ridiculously rad yarn from My Mountain//Lumio

HandMade: The Crochet Gable Wrap Skirt.

Hello there! First off, this was truly meant to come out a bit different than I had designed, but overall I am elated with the final product. Actually came out a tad a bit more interesting! I wanted to create a skirt with cable sweater look to it, but had an interesting structure to it. Ultimately, this is the result of the those two worlds colliding.

This was my first time experimenting with a wrap crochet item and it definitely featured a few challenges regarding when to decrease and increase the rows according to my measurements. Over time, I'm sure I get the hook of it. (see what I did there har har.) This skirt will entirely keep me warm during the kind of chilly times here in Texas, but the comfort what I aim for with all of my pieces. The comfy level needs to be on point especially with yarn!

Project Details:
The yarn I used was Red Heart Super Saver (Forest Green)
The hook I used was a K/101/2-6.50MM

The Crochet Gable Wrap Skirt pattern is entirely experimental, made from my own pattern! Planning to place the pattern for purchase on my Pattern Shoppe!

On My Hook.

Currently, I have been working on this scarlet number to create a buttoned crochet dress. Truthfully, I purchased a ton of buttons because they were on clearance for a couple of dimes and a nickle. So I thought I'd pick them all up 'cause who knows when you're gonna need one. Which brings me to this dress, I needed a little bit of detail to jazz it up even though the design is quite an experimental one that I created on a whim.
Nevertheless, it's entirely one of those dresses that were made for the upcoming winter season, perfect for tights and your favorite boots!
What are you currently working on?
Now I'm off to finish up some new projects!
